Giving Tree and RS Christmas Dinner
The Greenwood 2nd Ward has put together a giving tree which will remain in the foyer for the next couple of weeks. If you would like to participate, pull an ornament off the tree, shop for the designated item, and then return the ornament and unwrapped gift to Sister Carroll by Tuesday, December 15th, which is also the date of the Relief Society Christmas Dinner. The dinner will be held at Sister Clark's house at 6:30 pm and all you need to bring is yourselves. For those of you who didn't get a chance to sign up for the dinner on Sunday, the sign-up sheet will be going around again this Sunday, or you can send me a quick email letting me know you will be coming. We hope to see all of you there!

December Book Club
From Sister Scott:
We're going to be doing something different for December book club. I know it's a busy time and you may not have time to read, so we're going to watch The Nativity Story (a movie) and discuss it.
We will be meeting at Sister May's house on TUESDAY, Dec. 22, at 6:30. Notice that this is a different day and a different time. Please bring a treat to share. Invite anyone who may be interested, especially those you think might like book club but just haven't had a chance to attend yet (They don't have to be members!).
See you then!

Visiting Teaching Conference
From Sister Carroll:
Our visiting teaching conference is the last Sunday of this month (November 29th). It's a 5th Sunday, and we'll make arrangements for the sisters serving in Young Women's and Primary to attend the conference that 3rd hour of the block. (I know it's the weekend following Thanksgiving, and many families may still be traveling, but that's still the best day for our ward to have it.) Anyway, we're looking for a few sisters to share positive experiences you've had with visiting teaching--either as a visiting teacher or as one who was visit taught. Please contact me if you have such an experience that you'd be willing to tell us about during the VT Conference.

Ward Halloween Party
From Brother Mehling:
Everyone,
I would like to encourage everyone out to this ward activity. There is something for everyone. Most of all it's a chance to get together as a ward simply for the social aspect. This isn't a meeting. I would like to encourage everyone to bring their favorite chili for everyone to enjoy. Just for fun we will recognize the chili that gets the most votes. Hopefully we will have plenty of chili, but I can't promise how much. It just depends on the members. If you plan to bring chili let me know so I can do some planning.
We also are encouraging those who are participating in Trunk or Treat to feel free to decorate their trunks. It makes it a little more fun. Of course, the kids really just want the candy.
Thanks.
